Senior Director, Creator Strategy
Role overview
The Senior Director, Creator Strategy will own how ShopMy manages its growing base of creators below the top tier, from first earn through established, repeat performance. This role designs and runs the operating model for that base: how creators are segmented, what level of touch each segment gets, the standardized workflows behind every stage, and the metrics that show whether our effort is going to the right places. You'll work closely with Creator leadership on shared standards and handoffs, so creator management runs as one connected system. You will continuously tune the model so every creator gets the right amount of attention at the right time, and ShopMy gets the most out of every hour its teams spend on creators.
Key responsibilities
- Own the creator management strategy, operating model, performance and teams for creators below the top tier
- Define segmentation and tiering, including criteria for moving between segments and into the top tier
- Set the engagement standard for each segment: how much touch, through which channels (1:1, 1:many or product-led), by whom and toward what goal
- Keep testing and tuning the model: track return on effort by segment, rebalance coverage when the data calls for it, and cut motions that aren't working
- Own capacity planning for the teams serving this base, including coverage ratios and when to add headcount or automate
- Build the metrics, dashboards and accountability model for this segment
- Partner closely with Creator GM to align standards, tier criteria and a consistent handoff process
- Partner with Product, Data and Marketing to turn manual workflows into tooling and improve lifecycle programs
- Build and scale a high-performing team and the operating rhythm around it
What success looks like
- A clear, documented management model exists for every segment you own, and each team knows who they own, what good management looks like and how it's measured
- Effort matches potential: high-potential creators get focused attention, and the broader base is served well through scaled and automated programs
- A creator's experience is consistent and doesn't depend on which team or person they work with
- The model is actively tuned, not set once. Coverage decisions are reviewed regularly and backed by data
- A steady, growing pipeline of creators moving from first earn to habit and into the top tier
- You run several pilots at once, move quickly and know what to scale and what to kill
- A well-structured, accountable team that consistently hits its funnel targets
What you bring
- 10+ years in creator, talent, customer or partner management, lifecycle strategy or GTM operations, including leading leaders (managers of managers)
- A track record of building segmentation and coverage models that mix high-touch, scaled and tech-touch motions
- Deep comfort with data: you define the metrics, read the funnel and make resourcing decisions from it
- Experience building playbooks and processes that teams actually adopt
- Strong cross-functional influence, especially with Product and Data
- A background in the creator economy, talent management, influencer marketing or affiliate is strongly preferred
