Remote SideBy Care Registered Dietitian (LA)

Location: Remote (must have Illinois state licensure)

Compensation: $35-$45/hr

Part-Time / Full-Time available

 

SideBy Care delivers whole-person care to help clients discover the drivers of functional GI disorders and personalized coaching to achieve long-term health. SideBy Care provides clients with an expert team of registered dietitians, gut-brain therapists, and care coordinators, we support clients with regular care team visits, educational videos, plus personalized care plans and coaching.

SideBy Care is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, Spanish speaking Registered Dietitian (RD) to join the multidisciplinary care team. This is a unique opportunity for a dietitian to play a leading role in assessing patients' health history, diet, exercise, stress, sleep, and other health-related habits to address GI issues from head-to-toe, provide nutrition and lifestyle counseling to help individuals heal from the inside out, help individuals obtain symptom remission, promote sustainable health practices, and improve quality of life. SideBy is seeking an applicant that has experience providing one-on-one nutrition counseling, ideally in an outpatient setting, and is interested in holistic health, as well as GI disorders. The dietitian will work alongside other dietitians, as well as GI doctors, mental health providers and other team members to provide a coordinated, and comprehensive care plan.

 

Responsibilities:

• Counsel patients on nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes to support GI health
• Provide medical nutrition therapy on GI disorders
• Appropriately document encounters
• Create lifestyle focused care plans
• Work cooperatively as a team member
• Participate in care coordination meetings with team members 
• Promote a healthy relationship with food, exercise, and self for patients 
• Communicate as needed with care team, and patients outside of their counseling sessions

Candidate Requirements:

• RD/RDN credential from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• RD license in the state of Louisiana
• Master’s Degree preferred 
• 2-3 years of nutrition counseling experience, preferred outpatient setting
• Ability to respond to patient messages after-hours 
• Alignment with holistic approach
• Excited to learn new skills to deliver the SideBy Care practice model
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to build and maintain rapport with providers and patients 
• Private home office space with reliable internet connection 

Preferred Experience: 

• Experience working with individuals with GI disorders
• Functional and integrative health understanding and experience 
• Understanding of eating disorders and disordered eating, and mental health treatment
• Working with patients to improve sleep, stress management, exercise and other lifestyle changes to benefit gut health
