Position Summary

Reporting into the Office of the President, the Associate, Chairman's Initiatives plays a critical support role for the Chairman of Siegel. Responsibilities

Chairman Support & Meeting Management

  • Accompany the Chairman to all philanthropy-related meetings and events, serving as an organized and attentive presence to support his engagement.
  • Prepare pre-meeting briefings and background materials to ensure the Chairman is fully informed and prepared for every engagement.
  • Track all action items and commitments made during or following meetings; proactively manage follow-up to ensure timely completion.
  • Work closely with the Chairman's team to ensure all logistics for philanthropy meetings and events are confirmed and well-coordinated in advance — including scheduling, materials, attendees, and any follow-up requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of the Chairman's philanthropic relationships, capturing key details and next steps to ensure no relationship falls through the cracks.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen or deepen philanthropic relationships within the Chairman's broader network.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct thorough, fact-based research on topics, organizations, and initiatives of interest to the Chairman, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable briefings and summaries.
  • Monitor relevant sectors, trends, and players in philanthropy and social impact to proactively surface insights and opportunities for the Chairman's consideration.
  • Develop and maintain reference materials and background documents to support ongoing Chairman priorities.
  • Ensure all research is accurate, properly sourced, and presented in a format appropriate for the Chairman's use.

Initiative Management & Cross-team Collaboration

  • Support Siegel's Leadership team to translate the Chairman's priorities and ideas into concrete, executable plans — supporting the full arc from concept development through implementation.
  • Serve as a coordination point between the Chairman’s Office and Siegel team members, ensuring relevant staff have the context, priorities, and direction needed to execute their responsibilities effectively.
  • Support the planning and execution of Chairman-related events and initiatives in collaboration with the External Engagement team.
  • Contribute to efforts that connect the Chairman's philanthropic priorities with Siegel's broader grantmaking strategy and portfolio.
  • Assist in drafting communications, summaries, and materials that reflect the Chairman's voice and intent.
  • Provide support to the Executive Director as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with evidence of exceptional academic achievement; recent graduates strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional organizational skills — meticulous attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and concisely.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment; comfortable working closely with senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and solutions-oriented; able to anticipate needs and act without always being asked.
  • Genuine interest in philanthropy, social impact, or a related field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel with the Chairman and maintain a flexible schedule as needed.
