HVAC Service Tech

Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

We’re seeking a service-minded, observant, and customer-focused technician who can identify opportunities in the field and help generate leads for system upgrades, repairs, and product recommendations. This isn’t a high-pressure sales role — it’s about education, honesty, and helping customers make informed decisions.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostic work, and light service tasks
• Build rapport and trust with customers in a friendly and respectful manner
• Identify opportunities where customers may benefit from equipment replacement, efficiency upgrades, IAQ solutions, maintenance plans, etc.
• Communicate findings clearly to customers and document service recommendations
• Create TGLs (Tech-Generated Leads) for our Comfort Advisors & Sales Team to follow up on
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and internal teams
• Represent Sierra’s values and professionalism on every job
• Participate in ongoing training to build technical and communication skills

What You Bring

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds — you don’t need to be an expert; you just need curiosity, professionalism, and willingness to learn.

• Experience in HVAC or home services (or related technical experience)
• Strong customer interaction skills
• Ability to explain technical findings in clear, simple language
• Detail-oriented and observant — you notice what others might miss
• Positive attitude and interest in continuous learning
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative field team

(We encourage individuals with non-traditional backgrounds to apply — if you have the drive to learn and engage with customers, we want to talk to you.)

Why This Job Matters

This role is not about being pushy or aggressive.
You are serving as the eyes and ears in the field — the skilled technician who:

• Spot system inefficiencies
• Notice failing equipment
• Recognize customer comfort issues
• Flag opportunities for long-term solutions

You help customers — not just equipment.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

• 1 Week of PTO
• Company van, phone, and tablet
• ServiceTitan workflow software
• In-house training: classroom + mock attic/roof + hands-on lab
• Dedicated parts department and parts runners
• Leadership mentoring and development through Nexstar
• Health and dental insurance
• 401(k) match
• Year-round steady work
• Incentives & spiffs
• Tool assistance & equipment support
• In-house gym, fabrication shop, & uniform laundry
• Frequent meals, company events, and team bonding

We’re committed to providing a clean, professional, respectful workplace where everyone can thrive.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

We value diverse perspectives and life experiences — veterans, career-changers, technicians from other industries, apprenticeship grads, and self-taught talent are encouraged to apply.

Ready to Grow With Us?

Bring your technical mindset, your curiosity, and your desire to help customers — we’ll provide the training, tools, leadership support, and opportunities to build a long-term career.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
