We're looking for a Comfort Advisor who is passionate about helping homeowners, building lasting relationships, and providing customized HVAC comfort solutions that improve comfort, efficiency, and peace of mind.

This role is critical to our success—you'll serve as a trusted advisor, educating homeowners, recommending the right solutions, and delivering an outstanding customer experience from consultation to close.

The Role (What You'll Own)

This is more than selling HVAC systems—it's about helping homeowners make informed decisions that improve their comfort, safety, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency.

You will:

  • Conduct professional in-home comfort consultations
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend customized HVAC solutions
  • Build trust through education, honesty, and professionalism
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from consultation through installation
  • Create long-term relationships that generate referrals and repeat business

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate homeowners' comfort needs
  • Recommend HVAC systems, indoor air quality products, and comfort solutions
  • Educate customers on equipment options, warranties, maintenance plans, and financing
  • Present financing options and explain available programs
  • Build trust through honest recommendations and exceptional communication
  • Deliver a five-star customer experience throughout the sales process
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and answer questions
  • Generate referrals through exceptional service

Performance & Accountability

  • Achieve individual sales goals while maintaining company standards
  • Accurately prepare proposals, estimates, and sales documentation
  • Maintain organized customer records using ServiceTitan
  • Manage daily appointments efficiently
  • Continuously improve through coaching, training, and performance feedback

Standards & Consistency

  • Represent Sierra Air Conditioning & Plumbing professionally at all times
  • Maintain product knowledge on HVAC systems, IAQ products, accessories, and financing programs
  • Follow all company sales processes and procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and customer communication
  • Uphold company values through honesty, integrity, and professionalism

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Service Technicians, Install Managers, Dispatch, Customer Service, and Operations
  • Maintain strong communication with leadership and support teams
  • Assist in achieving departmental and company goals
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older (insurance requirements)
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in HVAC or home services
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused with a consultative sales approach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using technology, tablets, and CRM software
  • Ability to manage multiple appointments while maintaining exceptional customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Comfort Advisor experience
  • 3+ years of HVAC industry experience
  • Experience using ServiceTitan
  • Knowledge of residential HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of indoor air quality products
  • Experience presenting financing options
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
