Job Summary:
The Senior Collections Manager will own the end-to-end collections process, balancing firm credit control with a customer-focused approach. You’ll oversee one Collector, build scalable processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to reduce aging receivables, improve DSO, support revenue growth, and maintain healthy customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the collections function, including direct supervision of one Senior Collector.
- Develop, implement, and refine collections strategies to meet DSO and cash flow targets.
- Monitor the AR aging report and prioritize collection efforts for high-value and delinquent accounts.
- Handle complex or escalated collection matters, including dispute resolution.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to address billing disputes, contract issues, and payment delays.
- Maintain and improve collections policies, procedures, and reporting tools.
- Analyze collections metrics and present regular performance updates to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable credit and collections regulations.
- Contribute to system/process automation to support scalability as the company grows.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable, preferably in a B2B SaaS or subscription-based environment.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of collections strategies, dispute resolution, and credit analysis.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in using ERP, CRM, and billing platforms (NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar preferred).
- Data-driven approach with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented and data-driven, with the ability to analyze complex billing scenarios and drive continuous process improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic mindset.
Additional Job details
The base salary range for this position is $160k - $190k annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Sigma Computing. This role is eligible for stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
