Overview: 

Sigmoid is looking to hire a visionary and dynamic Business Analytics to build and lead our portfolio in Business and Data Analytics. This is an exciting opportunity to build and manage a world-class team while driving the future of Business Intelligence (BI), Rapid Insights, Process and Workflow Automation, Foundational Data Modeling and Machine Learning within our organization. As an early member of our leadership team, you will work closely with senior leaders across Sales, Delivery, Consulting, and Practice teams to execute strategic and tactical initiatives that elevate Sigmoid’s position in the market.

This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of our Business and Data Analytics charter, bringing together a talented pool of data analysts, business analysts, and data scientists to provide critical insights, optimize workflows, and build robust analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Talent Pool Development: 

• Build a high-performing team of Business and Data Analysts, ensuring the right balance between talent growth, structure, and effective cost-revenue
• Establish clear structures and guardrails for the team to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the

 

2.       Deployment and Execution: 

• Develop and execute both tactical and strategic deployment plans for the talent pool to meet immediate and long-term business needs.
• Ensure that team members are deployed to the right projects at the right time, optimizing resources for both client-facing and internal initiatives.

 

3.       Demand and Supply Management: 

• Proactively analyze and forecast the demand-supply landscape for Business and Data Analytics work, creating a roadmap to build and scale the talent pool accordingly.
• Anticipate market trends and emerging technologies to adjust team capabilities and ensure readiness for future challenges.

 

4.       Collaboration and Leadership: 

• Collaborate effectively with senior leaders in Sales, Delivery, Consulting, and Practice teams to drive the overall strategy and day-to-day operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions to clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and business success.

 

5.       Visionary Leadership: 

• Provide forward-thinking leadership combined with an outside-in view that will shape the future of Business and Data Analytics within Sigmoid.
• Drive innovation in the areas of Business Intelligence, data modeling, optimization, machine learning, and process automation.
• Influence and execute the company’s strategic goals, creating a vision that aligns with the organization’s growth trajectory.

 

Required Qualifications: 

• Experience: 12 - 15 years of experience in relevant leadership roles in Business & Data Analytics, IT services organizations, or internal analytics teams in large

• Leadership: Proven experience in building, managing, and scaling teams in Business and Data Analytics, with a focus on talent development, deployment, and scaling efforts in dynamic business environments.

• Expertise: Strong background in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Process Automation, and foundational data modeling. In-depth understanding of business optimization and heuristic logic.

• Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Delivery, and Consulting teams, to deliver analytics solutions.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to take a long-term view on demand-supply management for analytics work, with the skill to translate strategic insights into actionable

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of leveraging data to drive business decisions and operational improvements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BE / BTech - CS) from Tier I / II universities like IITs / NITs, and MBA from Top Tier B-schools preferred
• 12-15 years track record of relevant work experience
• Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent Data & Business analysts in fast paced work environment
• Strong leadership skills & Strong project management skills with experience of delivering high quality projects on time.
• Experience in building, leading & managing large multi-engineer projects and mentoring highly skilled teams in technology consulting companies
