Manager- Financial Controller

Job Summary:

The Finance Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and integrity, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Books of Accounts:
    • Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of all books of accounts
    • Oversee the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly
    • Conduct regular reconciliations and close processes

2.  Bookkeeping:

  • Supervise the bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial record-keeping
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate policies
  • Maintain an organized and systematic approach to financial documentation
  1. Audit and Compliance:
    • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit activities
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and other legal requirements
    • Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and ensure the company’s adherence
  2. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable:
    • Oversee the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
    • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and payments
    • Implement best practices to improve the efficiency of AR and AP processes
  3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
    • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity
    • Develop strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks
    • Oversee treasury functions, including investments, debt management, and risk management
    • Liaise with banks and other financial institutions to manage financing arrangements
  4. Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
    • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities. Promote collaboration and effective communication within the finance team and across departments
  6. Systems and Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate and improve existing financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Implement new technologies and tools to streamline financial operations
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and reporting

 

Qualifications:

  • CA qualified (2019- 2016 pass out at least)
  • Minimum of 5-9 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations

 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
