VP, Business Development - Manufacturing

Remote working opportunity within the United States.

Must be willing to travel to meet with referral partners, prospects, and clients nationally

At Signature Analytics, we specialize in providing expert-level fractional accounting and business advisory solutions to small and middle-market businesses ($5-100M in revenue) and nonprofits across the United States. We accomplish this by managing an organization’s accounting functions and financial reporting, so they don't have to. From there, we go beyond the numbers to help improve performance and achieve its mission related goals by focusing on forward-looking activities, direction, and strategy.

We are a growing firm and currently looking for an experienced VP, Business Development with the following: 

SKILLS AND SALES EXPERTISE:

  • Sales Background: Minimum of 5 consecutive years of hitting sales quotas within the service/manufacturing industry.
  • Network: Holds deep relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry partners. You are a connector in this industry.
  • Communication: Effective communication is essential for conveying ideas, strategies, and findings in a clear and concise manner to potential and current clients, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Persuasion:  Ability to overcome objectives and look for solutions that support the businesses’ needs and align them to SA services.
  • Trusted Partner: Develops mutual respect, accountability, and value creation in the relationship that leads to making an emotional connection. Not transactional.
  • Organization: Orchestrates and manages the SA closing process including working with operations to ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations. Continues to check in on clients after the sale to provide valuable feedback to the operations team.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to learn and articulate accounting and financial concepts to a non-technical audience including standard financial reporting. Able to use the nomenclature of the Manufacturing and Distribution world.
  • Discipline: Effective in working in a remote/virtual setting, managing the details, and working on the daily tasks that lead to results.
  • Leadership: Guides and motivates team members, manages conflicts, and fosters a collaborative environment.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Adapts quickly to new situations, prioritizes, and communicates proactively in a fast-paced environment with sales targets, leads, partner meetings, internal meetings, and ongoing connectivity to closed deals. Follow up is critical.
  • Educates businesses on the value of ongoing fractional accounting and CFO business advisory services as a solution versus hiring direct, staff augmentation, or project work.
  • Leads business development efforts to identify and capture new market opportunities and strategic partnerships within the manufacturing and distribution sector.
  • Collaborating with operations team members and fellow sales professionals to deliver solutions to clients. Able to coordinate with operations to make the most out of national events.
  • Closing 12 to 15 new recurring engagements per year.

  • Close Deals: The ability to influence and engage with clients to adopt recommended strategies and solutions as well as overcome objections to win the deal.
  • Detail-Oriented: Leverage tools and resources to track relationships and opportunities to enable accurate and timely reporting and follow up

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 consecutive years of hitting sales quotas within the service / manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales / business development experience selling a service, with a strong focus on the manufacturing industry
  • Preferred knowledge of manufacturing centric ERP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing solutions, market dynamics and industry trends
  • Proficiency and comfort in using HubSpot, G-Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales enablement tools required
  • PowerPoint skills – ability to modify existing templates with a basic rudimentary knowledge

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is up to $120,000 annually and commissions upon success increasing the overall compensation by 100% to 200%.
