RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Program Development: Assist in the creation and execution of new insurance programs, ensuring they meet market needs and company objectives.
  • Process Optimization: Help build out workflows and processes for new business, underwriting, and renewal underwriting.
  • Team Leadership: Provide professional leadership and mentorship to underwriting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic underwriting planning by developing and maintaining management information systems to effectively evaluate the portfolio.
  • Project Engagement: Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks that contribute to the organization's continuous improvement and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in US Casualty insurance underwriting and/or broking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with policy and endorsement wording negotiation, preparation, and drafting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills and an ethical approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
