Religious Underwriter

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate new business submissions for appetite acceptability, proper pricing, and profitability.
- Negotiate new business quotes and renewals with producer partners leading to the binding of business
- Maintain underwriting files and prepare reports and presentations as required
- Act as a liaison between various departments including accounting, claims and loss control.
- Approve and issue endorsement requests per underwriting guidelines and service guidelines
- Work with other underwriters/departments to drive multi-line sales on individual accounts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5+ years of underwriting Religious Institutions experience
- Strong knowledge of insurance rating, forms and coverages
- Ability to make timely decisions with appropriate information and consultation
- Proven track record of building strong business relationships with agents and insureds
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment to drive results
