Financial Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Process Management:
- Oversee and streamline financial processes, including billing, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Develop and reconcile monthly Bordeaux reports and maintain relationship with Carrier operations
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Process Improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Internal Controls
- Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including potential bad debt and regulatory non-compliance.
- Collaboration
- Work with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and actuarial, to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Systems and Technology
- Manage the financial operations of Underwriting systems and technologies.
- Staff Management
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields
- 5-10 years experience in a similar role, preferably in insurance
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
- Ability to work onsite in NYC 1-3 days/week
