Insurance Compliance Specialist

We’re looking for an Insurance Compliance Specialist to support our Director of IT and contribute across multiple system, product, and compliance initiatives. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Insurance Systems & Technology
- Assist with configuration, testing, and documentation of insurance management systems (IMS), portals, and workflow automation tools.
- Support QA/UAT cycles for new products, system enhancements, and form updates.
- Partner with IT leadership to identify and troubleshoot technical or logic issues in core systems.
Product, Forms & Compliance Ops
- Review and interpret ISO Circulars to identify impacts on products and ensure regulatory alignment. Translate these updates into clear business and system requirements, and maintain oversight of state-specific regulatory changes affecting rates, rules, and forms throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with insurance carrier and program partners to define and document requirements for program buildouts and product updates, including state-specific compliance, rating logic, rule application, and form revisions.
- Assist in maintaining forms libraries and documenting rule logic within internal or third-party tools (e.g., Mozart, Product Registry, SERFF).
- Support coordination between compliance, underwriting, and IT for product revisions and state filing activities.
Project Coordination & Documentation
- Help organize and document project plans, Jira tickets, workflows, and SOPs.
- Interface with vendors and third-party platforms during system builds or enhancements.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives that improve how we manage data, documents, and decision logic.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience in the property & casualty insurance space.
- Familiarity with ISO content, SERFF filings, or product compliance fundamentals.
- Interest in technology, systems thinking, and business analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how insurance data, forms, and logic interact.
Nice-to-Haves
- Exposure to policy administration systems (Vertafore, Guidewire, etc.)
- Basic understanding of SQL, Excel functions, or form configuration logic.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar project tracking tools.
