The Role

Signifyd is seeking a LATAM Human Resources and Payroll Manager  to join our Human Resources team and report to the Director of HR Operations. You will be responsible for driving culture and compliance in our LATAM markets. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Brazil employment and payroll laws and have experience working at a US-based company. They should also have a demonstrated ability to drive local talent acquisition, compensation and total rewards, employment relations and workplace rights. Experience dealing with PEOs and/or orchestrating a transition from a PEO to direct employment is a plus, as is experience with Mexico employment law. You’ll be joining a global team that rolls up their sleeves, has each other’s backs, and delivers excellent results!

What You’ll Do

  • Act as subject matter expert on Brazil and LATAM employment law and compliance
  • Create and implement policies, processes and handbooks for our LATAM regions that ensure compliance with local laws while maintaining our company culture and strategy
  • Build strong relationships with our HRBP team to advise on performance management processes, talent acquisition, compensation strategy and overall compliance in region
  • Develop strong and smooth working relationship with local vendors and labor organizations
  • Engage and interact with employees and leaders across all levels of the organization 
  • Maintain our local office presence, including shaping our strategy, contract negotiations, vendor management, and office organization
  • Select and implement payroll processing software
  • Calculate and process payroll
  • Calculate and pay payroll taxes
  • Have a working knowledge of all withholdings, deductions, and reporting requirements.

Who You Are: 

  • You have 5+ years of experience in HR and Payroll as a Manager, Generalist, or equivalent role, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders to get things done
  • You are a strong communicator who has proven the ability to tailor communications to a wide variety of audiences  
  • You have demonstrated a strong ability to develop and deliver scalable people programs that support the strategic needs of the business 
  • You place the highest value on delivering an extraordinary employee experience
  • You have impeccable judgment and follow-through skills, and can be fully trusted with the most confidential information
  • You have experience in employee relations, compliance, and HR operations in Brazil
  • You are process and detail-oriented, but not overly so - you fully appreciate the value of getting things done 
  • You know the importance of using data to reinforce your recommendations and know how to interpret and visualize information in large data sets 
  • You thrive in a fast pace environment 
  • Language skills: Portuguese and English advanced, Spanish a plus
  • BA/BS is preferred
