Department: Accounting

The Accounting organization at Signifyd is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The team owns all financial transactions, financial reporting processes, internal control frameworks, and audit preparations. The team contributes to: streamlined accounting procedures, improved profitability, advanced financial analysis, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

The Role: 

Signifyd seeks a passionate Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team Part-Time. As a Staff Accountant, you will have important interactions with our customers, vendors, and employees. You will perform critical functions that others rely on. You will find excitement and satisfaction as you see how your work helps the company grow. You will also have the ability to expand your knowledge and career as Signifyd expands and faces more complex accounting issues.

This role will report to our Sr. International Accounting Manager. The expectation is 25-30 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Onboard new customers
• Invoice customers
• Collections
• Record incoming cash receipts
• Send statements to customers
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to help ensure the Company’s financial statements are accurate and timely
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned 

Requirements

• The Employee is expected to work during normal business hours for their time zone and maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
• The Employee must frequently communicate with cross-functional coworkers using the company’s standard platforms (email, Slack, or JIRA). 
• The Employee must frequently communicate through live conference calls or online meetings. Attendance with on camera video is mandatory.
• The Employee must be able to work independently and manage their own priorities. 
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, sumifs, and xlookups
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar system preferred
