Job Description
Position: Sr. Associate, Project Development
Location: Nashville, TN
Overview: This position will provide development and pre-construction support activities. This will require coordination with the Business Development and EPC teams to facilitate project needs, including site selection (as necessary to support land team), site due diligence, site acquisition, entitlements, environmental permitting, site assessments, preliminary budget development, etc. This work may require some periods of travel, generally 4-7 days per month. This position will support permitting, consulting services, engineering, reporting and the general project management required for successful project development and pre-construction support
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead site diligence efforts tailored to specific project requirements.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop accurate schedules and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Support Business Development in identifying project sites and leading real estate negotiations, including title and permitting research.
- Manage planning and zoning challenges and oversee the full land development cycle.
- Coordinate with the Development Engineer and Energy Delivery team to identify early-stage project risks.
- Oversee all aspects of project development, including land research, environmental services, preliminary design, and pre-construction tasks.
- Work closely with managers to secure project funding approvals.
- Represent the company in public permit hearings and maintain relationships with clients, landowners, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide support across Business Development, Project Finance, and EPC functions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to address client issues and deliver innovative, collaborative solutions.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of work experience in project management, land development or real estate.
Exposure to or experience in the US energy and/or renewable market desirable.
