Job Description
Position: Manager, Market Intel
Location: Nashville, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, or Remote
Overview: This position is a key contributor to our Business Development team, responsible for analyzing energy sector data and translating it into actionable insights. By leveraging knowledge of energy markets, tariffs, pricing dynamics and policy, this position will help shape strategic decisions that drive corporate growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Market Data Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and report on market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the renewable energy sector.
- Develop actionable insights that support business strategy and decision-making.
- Strategic Insights:
- Monitor and assess industry trends, competitor movements, regulatory changes, and market developments to provide forward-looking insights.
- Synthesize complex data into clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.
- Pricing and Market Structures:
- Research and interpret market pricing trends in both regulated and deregulated markets, identifying potential opportunities and risks
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Project Development, and Interconnection, to integrate market insights into company strategy.
- Present findings to stakeholders, ensuring that market analysis drives informed decision-making across the organization.
The individual will represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and discipline to achieve goals and develop relationships for the Company.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Business, Finance, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in the US energy market within strategy, business development or project development.
- Strong understanding of energy sector data, including markets, tariffs, and interconnection processes.
- Knowledge of Hitachi Velocity Suite, Enverus, Yes Energy, and Quickbase is beneficial but not required.
- Experience with data anyalsis, including and manipulating large datasets; familiarity with Python or R preferred but not required
