
Delegating Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking a Delegating Nurse (RN) to provides clinical oversight and leadership for nursing and delegated healthcare services in our licensed assisted living community, in compliance with COMAR 10.07.14 and Maryland Board of Nursing regulations. This role ensures high-quality care for residents, particularly those living with dementia, through assessment, care planning, delegation, staff training, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN exercises autonomy, clinical judgment, and indirect supervision of care teams.

Qualifications:
- Must be current RN with a license in good standing with the Maryland board of nursing
- Requires certification as a delegating nurse per Maryland assisted living regulations
- Minimum one year of nursing experience with at least six months in geriatric, dementia or assisted living
- Requires knowledge of COMAR and Maryland delegation and supervision regulations
- Prefer prior supervisory or training experience
What you will be doing:
- Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments and determine level of care.
- Develop and update individualized service plans in collaboration with care teams, families, and residents.
- Delegate and supervise medication administration and nursing tasks to certified medication technicians and caregivers in compliance with Maryland board of nursing guidelines.
- Provide ongoing staff training, competency assessments, and redelegation (minimum every 45 days).
- Monitor resident conditions, adjust care plans, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to overall care strategy.
- Audit care delivery, logs, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Partner with community leadership through clear communication and collaboration.
- Flexibility to provide on-call support and respond to urgent needs, outside of scheduled hours.
- Maintain professionalism, empathy, and resilience in emotionally challenging situations involving residents and families.

Anticipated pay range
$110,000 - $120,000 USD
