Intern - Software Test Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Intern – Software Test Engineer position reports to the Director of Software Engineering within the Software Engineering team.  The successful individual in this role will be actively involved in supporting and developing test automation projects. This internship position is full-time, on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Automate the verification processes for our StreamCaster GUI and automate API tests.
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to identify software quality risks, develop test plans, and execute these plans to ensure software integrity.
  • Triage software defect reports and coordinate with engineers for their resolution.
  • Perform exploratory and verification testing on new features and bug fixes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • In-progress bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or other related technical fields.
  • Python, Bash Scripting.
  • Root Cause Analysis.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • In-progress bachelor's or master’s degree in computer electronics.
  • C / C++
  • Software automation or software testing experience.
  • TCP/IP networking experience.
  • Familiarity with RF concepts.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Indoor air-conditioned facility.
  • Lift equipment for setup of demos and testing.
  • Walking/Moving in the lab.

COMPENSATION

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

CA Pay Range

$27 - $27 USD
