We are seeking an analytical, business-minded Corporate Counsel to join the Similarweb team. This role will be based in Santiago, Chile.
Why is this role so important at Similarweb?
You will have responsibility for providing legal advice and counsel in support of a dynamic, fast-paced SaaS and data business. Primarily, you will guide the Go-To-Market team on commercial legal matters to drive dealmaking while also working to ensure that the company’s acceptable risk parameters are enforced.
So, what will you be doing all day?
- Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription contracts, license and services agreements, service orders, and related documents with customers, partners, resellers, data licensors and vendors
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice, counsel and recommendations to sales professionals and other stakeholders on legal and business issues
- Coordinate with other groups distributed globally (Finance, Marketing, Security, IT and others) in commercial contracting matters to support Company policies and procedures
- This role will serve a global Go-To-Market organization, with a primary focus on the Eastern US time zone.
- Assist with entity management and other country-specific tasks related to Similarweb’s Chilean legal entity.
- Interface with and manage support from outside counsel, to the extent necessary.
This is the perfect job for someone with:
- At least 4 years of commercial law experience, ideally including work in a large law firm and/or in-house in a technology company
- Excellent English-language written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently to draft and close commercial agreements with minimal support from senior staff
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment
- Self-driven and highly motivated to contribute to the success of the company
- Comfortable dealing with a global customer base and interacting in a multicultural environment across multiple time zones (with a primary focus on the Eastern US time zone)
- Able to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely
