As a Java Software Engineer at simplesurance, you’ll experience firsthand how technology and innovation work to fuel our growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features and improve the existing product.
• Refactor legacy code to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Write unit, component, and integration tests following defined checklists.
• Monitor and support running services, handling deployments across all environments.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with the team.

Bring to the Team

• Strong understanding of REST APIs — their definition, principles, and use cases.
• Solid experience with modern Java and the Spring framework in a microservices environment.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, MQ, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with testing and debugging tools like Postman, and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a general understanding of Scrum and the feature development lifecycle.
