Job Description
As an ML Firmware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining machine learning applications and their integration into our smart home security cameras. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing computer vision applications to enable advanced features such as object detection, image classification, and face recognition on home security cameras.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient firmware modules to interface with machine learning models.
- Develop and maintain code for reporting various metrics for model deployment monitoring such as image metadata metrics, model performance metrics etc.
- Collaborate with the ML team to integrate machine learning models into our camera firmware.
- Optimize firmware for low-latency and low-power consumption.
- Ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into the overall camera system.
- Design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of machine learning models and firmware.
- Conduct rigorous unit, integration, and system-level testing.
- Analyze test results to identify and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain build and CI/CD pipelines for machine learning model training and firmware development.
- Set up and manage testing infrastructure for various hardware platforms.
- Develop and maintain tools for automated testing and model performance evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
- Good understanding of Computer Vision fundamentals, including deep learning techniques.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) and their application to computer vision tasks.
- Experience working with embedded systems and real-time constraints.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
