What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Order-to-Cash Senior Product Manager, you'll own billing system operations and drive ongoing optimization of Zuora and order-to-cash applications. You'll build solutions that identify, quantify, and resolve issues across the billing and payments domain, and partner cross-functionally with Finance, CX, and various Enterprise Information Systems teams to strengthen billing operations, controls, and policies that reduce operational risk and deliver innovative customer experiences.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Serve as primary system administrator for order-to-cash applications (e.g., Zuora, AvaTax, and payment processing vendors), maintaining and enhancing their configurations, integrations, workflows, and user access.
- Design, implement, and test internal controls across order-to-cash processes, such as access reviews, reconciliations, and exception monitoring, to reduce operational and compliance risk.
- Partner with business stakeholders across Finance, Tax, CX, and eCommerce to identify system needs, document solutions, and publish related processes and procedures.
- Monitor system and process effectiveness, and recommend improvements to keep daily operations accurate, complete, and efficient.
- Support the engineering organization by providing acceptance criteria, participating in test reviews, giving demo feedback, and gathering stakeholder approvals on new features and releases
- Set standards and best practices for system administration across the order-to-cash stack, reviewing and coordinating work with other analysts to ensure consistency and quality.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing, optimizing, or sustaining Zuora or a similar order-to-cash platform.
- 5+ years in business systems, operations, or financial systems roles within a fast-paced, high-growth, or innovation-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (information systems, computer science, and/or finance/accounting).
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make well-informed recommendations.
- Skilled in writing functional requirements and developing test/release plans to support delivery of order-to-cash software solutions.
- Track record of designing controls, including building detection mechanisms, outlining exception playbooks, and root-causing failures to inform prevention.
- Working knowledge of Order-to-Cash and Record-to-Report business processes for ecommerce and recurring service revenue models.
- Comfortable operating independently, with minimal guidance, among cross-functional teams.
- Interest in adopting or leveraging AI tools to improve process efficiency, decision-making, or system operations.
- Familiarity with technologies like SQL, Avalara AvaTax, Paymentech, Tableau, and Jira preferred.
