Overview

Simpluris is hiring a Legal Notice Production Specialist, a hybrid role supporting both document production and legal notice creation. You’ll format, merge, and proof high-volume legal documents for mailing and publication, assist with light digital design, and help translate legal content into plain language for everyday consumers. This position bridges operations and creative formatting, making it ideal for someone with strong grammar, technical file prep skills, and an eye for design.

Day to Day

Document Production & Print Prep

  • Prepare and format mail merge files in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proof and verify that merged data and final outputs match work order specifications
  • Prepare RIP-ready files and coordinate digital proofing for mailings and printed materials
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure production requirements and timelines are met

Legal Notice Support 

  • Format legal notice documents (postcards, mailers, ads) using Word and InDesign
  • Assist in translating legal language into clear, plain-language summaries for public notices
  • Extract relevant information from settlement agreements and court documents and input into notice templates
  • Prepare and lightly edit newspaper and magazine print ads and banner ads in Photoshop (training available)
  • Ensure all content is grammatically correct and easy to understand

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a production, legal admin, prepress, or document formatting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Mail Merge, document formatting, template use) and Excel (formulas, sorting, combining sheets)
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documents
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting legal documents
  • Ability to simplify complex language into clear, public-facing content
  • Willingness to learn Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (basic artistic/design instincts preferred)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus: familiarity with legal notices, print advertising, or mailhouse operations
