We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive coordination, tracking, and process management across multiple R&D teams at SimSpace. This role is a key enabler for delivering complex initiatives by ensuring visibility, alignment, and execution across teams—without direct authority over any of them.
Reporting to the VP of R&D, you will facilitate communication, track status, remove roadblocks, and refine processes that help teams stay focused and productive. You will work across engineering, product, and other business units to ensure work is progressing smoothly, risks are identified early, and dependencies are well-managed.
This role is not about managing people—it’s about keeping teams and initiatives moving forward by ensuring clarity, consistency, and accountability across a dynamic technical environment.
What will you be doing as a Staff Technical Program Manager at SimSpace:
- Drive cross-team coordination – ensure alignment across multiple R&D teams, tracking status, dependencies, and risks to keep programs moving forward.
- Improve visibility – create dashboards and reports to provide clear, up-to-date status to executives and stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication – act as a central point of contact between R&D, Product, IT, and other business units to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Refine processes – identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce friction in product development and delivery.
- Support prioritization – partner with Product Management to integrate customer feedback and business priorities into the development roadmap.
- Enable onboarding and execution – help teams onboard new processes, ensuring smooth adoption and tracking of key initiatives.
- Guide and support – drive best practices for program management, helping teams stay focused and accountable without adding unnecessary overhead.
Who you are:
- You have 6+ years of experience in program or project management for software development initiatives.
- You have deep knowledge and experience with JIRA - creating dashboards, label and tag work for reporting, JQL knowledge and knowledge in additional engineering insight tools such as, linearB, JellyFish or others.
- You have proven experience operating as part of a software development organization.
- An active PMI certification is highly preferred but not required.
- Past experience as a Scrum Master is highly preferred but not required.
- You have detailed experience with Agile, Scrum or similar methodologies.
- You thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, working with multiple teams without direct authority.
- You excel at clear, concise communication, translating technical updates into meaningful insights for diverse audiences.
- You are organized and detail-oriented, able to track multiple projects and dependencies without losing sight of the big picture.
- You have a customer-first mindset and strong judgment in balancing competing priorities.
- You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-changing technical environment.
