Director of Customer Marketing and Analyst Relations

Remote

Position Overview

We’re looking for a strategic, technically fluent marketing leader to serve as our Director of Customer Marketing and Analyst Relations,. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this high-impact role is responsible for elevating SingleStore’s market perception through authentic customer stories, influential analyst relationships, and high-value partner marketing.

This role is equal parts technical storyteller, strategist, and connector, bridging the gap between technical credibility and market-facing influence. You’ll work across the go-to-market ecosystem to ensure our customers’ stories are told, our innovations are understood, and our position in the industry is strengthened. From securing analyst recognition to surfacing powerful customer use cases, your work will help define how the world sees SingleStore, and why they should believe in what we’re building.

We’re looking for a candidate who brings both strategic vision and operational strength. You should be passionate about shaping how the data infrastructure category is understood through customer stories and market influence. You have a proven ability to build trusted relationships, drive thought leadership, and elevate brand credibility through analyst engagement and customer advocacy.

You know how to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with analysts, buyers, and users. You listen carefully, surface meaningful customer insights, and turn those into stories that drive impact.

The ideal candidate has experience influencing analyst evaluations, credibility with customers, and the presence to work confidently with executives. You work well across product, sales, and marketing, and you’re just as comfortable in strategic conversations as you are executing on campaigns and content.

You bring strong knowledge of the data infrastructure space, a track record of go-to-market success, and the leadership to align cross-functional teams around shared goals. A bias for action, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to build trust across functions will help you thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of customer marketing, market influence, and strategic communications. You’ll elevate the voice of our customers, shape how SingleStore is perceived by industry analysts, and amplify our presence through key technology partnerships.

Customer Marketing & Technical References

  • Own and evolve the customer reference and advocacy program, including:
    • A dynamic database of customer use cases, deployment architectures, and referenceability status
    • Deep understanding of how customers use the software, including value delivered
    • Building and maintaining relationships with both technical and business contacts within customer accounts
  • Deliver compelling technical case studies, testimonials, and customer spotlights that support GTM and product initiatives
  • Serve as a strategic partner to product marketing, sales, and customer success for sourcing and leveraging customer stories across channels

Analyst Relations & Industry Recognition

  • Lead relationships with top-tier analyst firms (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, GigaOm) and manage high-stakes evaluations (e.g., Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave)
  • Translate product and customer insights into technically credible analyst briefings, inquiries, and submissions
  • Drive participation in key industry awards and recognition programs
  • Align internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and marketing to deliver analyst-ready narratives and supporting data

Strategic Partner Marketing

  • Develop and execute co-marketing strategies with key technology partners (e.g., AWS, Twingo)
  • Drive creation of joint customer success stories and technical use cases that showcase partnership value
  • Ensure message consistency and technical integrity across partner-led initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • 7–10+ years of experience in customer marketing, analyst relations, product marketing, or strategic communications within a B2B tech environment
  • Direct experience managing high-visibility analyst relationships, including Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, and equivalent evaluations
  • Proven success building and scaling customer reference programs and advocacy content in partnership with sales, customer success, and product teams
  • Ability to craft technically credible marketing content such as case studies and messaging frameworks
  • Strategic mindset and strong cross-functional influence; able to operate at both executive and tactical levels
  • Experience collaborating with cloud or technology partners on co-marketing or joint go-to-market initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, project management ability, and comfort presenting in analyst briefings, customer calls, and internal leadership settings

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
