SingleStore is looking for accomplished professionals to join our Commercial Sales team, focused on selling SingleStore Database and Cloud Database. In this role, you will be responsible for closing new business and expanding existing business with customers throughout a region within North America. Commercial Account Executives at SingleStore are passionate about evangelizing technologies that are disrupting the market. You’re excited to develop modern database expertise and communicate solution value to organizations of all sizes. In this role, you will be expected to cultivate an in-depth understanding of the market landscape, partner closely with Sales Engineers and SDRs, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new account opportunities through strategic outbound efforts, including cold outreach, targeted account research, and multi-threaded engagement.
  • Develop and execute a detailed territory and account plan designed to maximize penetration within complex organizations and priority segments.
  • Lead value-based sales conversations, clearly articulating the business impact of SingleStore’s platform to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify, uncover, and shape business needs with senior decision-makers, guiding prospects through problem definition and solution alignment.
  • Own the full customer lifecycle across a diverse portfolio of accounts, from early-stage companies to large enterprises and Fortune 5000 organizations.
  • Rapidly build deep knowledge of SingleStore’s technology, competitive landscape, and the broader data infrastructure ecosystem to position differentiated value.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of priorities, deal strategy, and execution while managing ambiguity effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal partners, ensuring alignment, momentum, and high-quality execution throughout the sales process.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Self-starter with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in database sales or cloud SaaS, with full-cycle closing responsibility.
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong business and technical acumen
  • Proven track record of successfully selling SaaS solutions and driving new customer acquisition.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders through negotiation and closing.
  • A firm understanding of the modern database, infrastructure, and enterprise software products (e.g., open source, business intelligence, analytics, ETL, cloud infrastructure, etc.). 
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to both IT and line-of-business stakeholders, emphasizing business value over product capabilities.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships to understand their short and long-term business needs.
  • B.S. degree or equivalent in a related field.

SingleStore’s base salary range for this role, if based in Boston, Chicago, New York, Austin, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Seattle, Washington, or Dallas is: $100,000 -  $175,000 USD per year
