Job Summary
SiTime is hiring a Senior Costing Analyst to help own product cost from wafer to finished good across our MEMS and CMOS timing portfolio. You will build and maintain a clean, structured quote database, and help with cost model building and lead deep-dive analysis of yield and unit cost variances for Finance, Operations and Engineering.
Automation is central to this role. You will replace manual spreadsheet roll-ups with repeatable, data-driven cost models, so the team spends its time on analysis rather than data wrangling.
Responsibilities:
BOM and product costing
- Build and maintain multi-level BOMs for oscillators, resonators and clock ICs, covering MEMS and CMOS wafers, die bank, assembly, test, packaging and freight.
- Model die and unit cost from wafer price, gross die per wafer and yield at each stage (wafer sort, assembly, final test).
- Support annual standard cost setting and drive quarterly standard cost revisions with Operations and Supply Chain.
Supplier and quote management
- Track foundry and OSAT pricing, quotes and contract terms, and flag changes before they reach standard cost.
- Build and maintain a single, structured quote and cost database with consistent part numbers, units and supplier names.
- Prepare clean cost inputs for quarterly standard cost updates and the annual plan.
Automation and tools
- Automate quote intake, data cleanup and BOM cost roll-ups to replace manual copy-and-paste work.
- Build dashboards showing cost by product, supplier, package and quarter.
- Document data definitions and processes so the data stays reliable and audit-ready.
Variance and margin analysis
- Analyze PPV, yield, usage and manufacturing variances each month, and explain the drivers in plain terms.
- Perform deep dive on yield loss and unit cost trends with Operations and Engineering, and quantify margin impact.
- Support Accounting on inventory valuation, E&O reserves and capitalized variances at quarter close.
- It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years in supply management, product costing or FP&A, including 2+ years at a semiconductor company.
- Hands-on experience building multi-level BOMs and standard costs in an ERP system (Oracle, SAP or NetSuite).
- Working knowledge of the semiconductor flow (wafer fab, sort, assembly, final test) and how yield drives unit cost.
Desired Characteristics & Attributes:
- Communicates clearly and credibly, translating financial data into concise, business-relevant insights for leadership.
- Acts as a collaborative partner across Finance, Engineering and Operations.
- Shows strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively across time zones and changing priorities.
- Continuously seeks opportunities to improve reporting quality, automation, and process efficiency.
Compensation Range:
At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
