Location: Litchfield, VA (outside Washington, DC)
Compensation: $150,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

About the Role
We are a growing professional services and consulting firm seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner and right hand to the founder. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role designed for an operator who thrives on execution, alignment, and bringing clarity to complex, fast-moving environments.

This is not an administrative position. The Chief of Staff acts as a force multiplier—translating vision into action, ensuring priorities move forward, and driving accountability across the organization. You will work at the center of the business, enabling leadership to operate more effectively and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Key Responsibilities

Drive execution across the business by translating founder priorities into clear, actionable plans and ensuring timely delivery against goals
Own key initiatives end-to-end, including timelines, accountability, and measurable outcomes
Serve as a thought partner to the founder on strategic decisions, problem-solving, and prioritization

Establish and manage operating cadence, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly rhythms
Track key priorities, KPIs, and progress across teams to ensure alignment and visibility
Hold leaders accountable for commitments and drive follow-through across the organization

Ensure cross-functional alignment on priorities, resources, and execution plans
Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues to maintain momentum
Improve communication flow across teams and leadership to enhance transparency and efficiency

Lead high-impact special projects, including growth initiatives, process improvements, and organizational design efforts
Conduct analysis, synthesize insights, and present clear, actionable recommendations
Operate effectively in ambiguous situations, bringing structure and driving resolution

Define and clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations across the organization
Build and implement scalable systems and processes to support growth
Introduce structure and discipline while maintaining speed and agility

Qualifications

Experience in a Chief of Staff, Operations, Consulting, or similarly execution-focused role
Background in professional services or a client-driven business environment
Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving seamlessly from planning to execution
Strong ownership, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Excellent communication skills with a clear, direct, and structured approach
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating clarity where it does not exist
Experience working closely with a founder or senior executive

Compensation & Benefits

$150,000 base salary
