Job Type: Full-time
Location: Ft. Meade, MD
Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required (U.S. Citizen Only)
Work Schedule: 5 days per week onsite
Travel Requirements: None
Experience: 0–20 years
WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking a Software Engineer with a diverse set of technical skills and the ability to adapt to unique mission requirements. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems while working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
- Ensure software solutions meet documented requirements.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
- Document testing results and support software quality efforts.
System Engineering & Analysis
- Resolve software problem reports and support ongoing system maintenance.
- Contribute to system design activities and provide input on hardware/software trade-offs.
- Support software reuse and COTS/GOTS integration efforts.
- Participate in requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level requirements to individual software components.
Collaboration
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Support technical discussions and contribute to solution development.
- Adapt to evolving mission and customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; OR
- Four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance software systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
At SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation for this role will be based on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and overall alignment with the position. Salary for this position is: $127,000-$243,000
