About the role:
- Prompt Engineering & Iterative Refinement with AI-assistances.
- Review and understand existing firmware code.
- Assist in modifying and improving firmware code based on project requirements.
- Assist in firmware testing, identifying and debugging issues, and documenting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High proficiency in modern AI-assisted IDEs and platforms like Cursor, Windsurf, or Bolt.new.
- Undergraduate or graduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Courses in embedded systems are a significant plus.
- Proficiency in C/C++ is essential, as these are the primary languages for embedded systems. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is also highly valued for automation and testing.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is critical. Familiarity with hardware components, peripherals, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART) is also essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required to debug complex, low-level issues that often arise in firmware development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with different teams and document work clearly. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is also crucial.
COMPENSATION: $35/hr - $45/hr
