Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer with a strong robotics focus to help integrate new hardware components into our software stack and debug issues that span both hardware and software. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of our robotic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate hardware-software interfaces for robotic systems.
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth system performance.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks to validate new hardware components within our software stack.
  • Work with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, etc.) to enable seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and control engineers.
  • Implement data acquisition and analysis techniques to optimize system performance.
  • Write clean, modular, and scalable code to support robotics applications.
  • Document integration processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • 2+ years of experience in robotic system development and hardware-software integration.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in robotic frameworks (ROS, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of robotic system architecture, including sensors, actuators, and controllers.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, real-time computing, and low-level hardware control.
  • Experience working with motor controllers, firmware, and real-time communication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to debug complex hardware-software interactions.
  • Experience with test automation, data analysis, and system validation.

 

Base Salary Range

$100,000 - $300,000 USD
