Lytec Programmer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lytec Programmer to support, customize, and optimize Lytec practice management and billing systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Lytec software configuration, reporting, and data workflows, and will work closely with billing, IT, and operations teams to improve system performance, data accuracy, and revenue cycle efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and maintain Lytec practice management and billing systems
  • Develop, modify, and optimize Lytec reports, forms, and templates
  • Perform database queries, data extraction, and data validation within Lytec
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to claims processing, billing, payments, and reporting
  • Support integrations between Lytec and clearinghouses, EHRs, and third-party systems
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and version migrations
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA and industry standards
  • Collaborate with billing, coding, and IT teams to improve workflows and automation
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and user training as needed
  • Analyze operational and billing data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with Lytec practice management software
  • Strong understanding of medical billing, claims, and revenue cycle processes
  • Experience with Lytec reporting tools, custom queries, and data exports
  • Experience managing a Lytec server installation on a Windows Server machine
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL
  • Knowledge of clearinghouse workflows (EDI, claims submission, ERA, EFT)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and data issues
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-provider or multi-location medical practices
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and payer-specific billing rules
  • Experience with system integrations and data migrations
  • Previous healthcare IT or practice management system support experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Pay

  • $29.00-$35.00/hour, based on experience/education.
