Talent Acquisition Specialist
Skybound Service Partners is a national platform dedicated to partnering with leading commercial roofing and building services companies. We invest in exceptional teams, proven businesses, and long-term relationships to help our partner companies grow stronger and deliver greater value to their customers. At Skybound, we offer more than a job, we offer the opportunity to build a meaningful career within a network that prioritizes people, performance, and sustainable success.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Skybound Service Partners is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting across the organization. This role is built around passive candidate sourcing, proactively identifying and engaging talent who aren't actively job hunting, rather than waiting on inbound applications. Experience recruiting within the commercial roofing or general construction industry is strongly preferred.
You will recruit across every level of the organization, from laborers up through sales, project managers, superintendents, and general managers, partnering closely with hiring managers to keep pipelines full and hiring on track.
This role is fully remote, with periodic travel to partner brand locations and acquired businesses, so the right person must be highly self-motivated and thrive in a remote environment. Must be located in the Eastern or Central U.S.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively source and engage both passive and active candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, industry associations, referrals, and other creative channels
- Conduct initial outreach and candidate engagement
- Own full cycle recruiting across all functions, with emphasis on:
- General Managers (branch leaders with P&L ownership; sales oversight, and operational responsibility)
- Sales professionals and divisional leaders
- Superintendents (field supervision)
- Build and maintain strong, ready to go talent pipelines for project managers, superintendents, estimators, and other construction leadership roles, in addition to field and trade talent
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team needs, and hiring priorities
- Partner and maintain relationships with third-party recruiting firms
- Screen candidates for qualifications, experience, and long-term fit
- Keep candidate records accurate and current in the applicant tracking system
- Continuously build and nurture talent communities across key markets so pipelines stay ahead of hiring demand
- Support onboarding and talent infrastructure initiatives as the company scales
- Travel as needed to acquired businesses (approx. 1-2 months per quarter, heavier in early months)
- Represent Skybound Service Partners' brand and reputation professionally with every candidate interaction
- Be flexible and entrepreneurial – willing to roll up your sleeves and jump in whenever needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 2+ years of recruiting or sourcing experience, ideally from:
- A search firm or agency specializing in commercial services (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, construction, etc.), OR
- An in-house role in a blue collar/industrial setting with high-volume recruiting
- Demonstrated experience with passive candidate sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, ZoomInfo, or similar tools)
- Proven success with full-cycle recruiting and delivering results in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong sourcing ability – scrappy, creative, and able to uncover talent utilizing untraditional recruiting methods
- High energy, self-starter, and driven to win
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches at once
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience working within an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Must be in the Eastern or Central U.S; ability to travel as needed
Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location.
