Senior Program Manager, Research & Development
Skyhawk Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the talented, growing company in Waltham, MA and Basel, Switzerland. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated program manager to drive small-molecule programs from discovery to clinical trials and support cross-functional development teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a collaborative member of the program management team to manage a number of internal programs ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines
- Lead cross-functional program teams that include representatives from research, nonclinical, regulatory, CMC, and clinical development to define program strategy and develop integrated program plans, including timelines, budgets, milestones and deliverables
- Facilitate team meetings, including technical and scientific discussions, to anable effective team alignment, identify and resolve issues, track progress, and ensure successful program execution; Document meeting outcomes in meeting minutes
- Foster strong relationships within the organization and serve as a critical point person on program strategy, timelines, program-related communications, issue identification and resolution
- Effectively communicate with senior management on program strategy, progress, and challenges
Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in a project management role
- Strong scientific background and understanding of cross-functional drug development from preclinical through early clinical development (including experience with IND submissions)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, OnePager) and the application of project management principles
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to a high-performing, patient & people-first culture, where there is alignment around a common vision and individuals are supported in their growth path
