Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

As a Senior Product Manager (Cloud & Telecom apps) at Skylo, reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will be a driving force in shaping the future of our internal and partner-facing capabilities. You will own the product strategy and execution for building critical internal cloud applications and telecom apps that are critical for sustaining our business. Your expertise in UI/UX will be crucial in delivering intuitive and effective solutions. By deeply understanding the needs of our internal teams and external partners, you will define and deliver tools that enhance operational efficiency and user experience. You'll collaborate closely with internal technology teams to bring these innovative solutions to life, ultimately driving user adoption and Skylo's growth. Your ability to rapidly prototype using AI tools and then work with engineering to productionize these applications will be essential. While not requiring deep expertise in Billing and OSS, you will support the head of OSS/BSS in these areas. You will be a key contributor to Skylo's success by translating user needs into impactful tools and platforms.

How You Will Contribute

  • Own the Product Roadmap: Define, prioritize, and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for Skylo's internal cloud applications and telecom applications. This includes conceptualizing, building, and enhancing solutions to support our expanding global operations and partner ecosystem.
  • Develop User-Centric Cloud Applications: Lead the development of internal apps and customer-facing apps with a strong focus on UI/UX design to ensure they are intuitive, efficient, and meet the specific needs of users.
  • Prototype and Iterate Rapidly: Utilize AI tools and vibe coding approaches to quickly develop prototypes of applications, validate concepts with users, and work closely with engineering teams to refine and productionize these solutions.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency and User Satisfaction: Identify and address bottlenecks in internal workflows and partner interactions through the development and implementation of innovative tools and process improvements, with a keen eye on user experience.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with internal operations, engineering, sales, support, and partner teams to gather requirements, understand pain points, and ensure alignment on product priorities for internal tools and partner portals.
  • Translate Needs into Product Requirements: Translate diverse internal and external customer needs into clear, actionable product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories, guiding the engineering team through execution.
  • Support Billing and OSS Initiatives: Provide product management support to the head of OSS/BSS, assisting in defining requirements and ensuring alignment for billing and operational support systems, without needing to be the subject matter expert.
  • Analyze Performance and Drive Improvements: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal & customer-facing apps. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization.
  • Champion the User: Be a strong advocate for both internal users and external partners, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of the tool and portal development process.

What We Look For

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant hands-on experience in building cloud applications.
  • Proven ability to define and execute product roadmaps for software applications, from ideation through launch and iteration.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with UI/UX principles and designing user-centric solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience or comfort with AI tools and rapid prototyping methodologies (e.g., vibe coding) to develop initial versions of applications.
  • Excellent ability to understand internal and external customer needs and translate them into detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and technical specifications.
  • Experience driving engineering teams towards successful execution of product roadmaps.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and discuss complex technical concepts related to cloud applications, APIs, and software development with engineers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse internal teams and external partners.
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset, with the ability to analyze usage data and draw actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to billing and OSS systems is a plus, with a willingness to support initiatives in these areas.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
