ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - EL SEGUNDO, CA

Skyryse wants to empower anyone, to fly anywhere, in any aircraft, safely and as a highly experienced pilot would. Powered by SkyOS, we automate flight controls and systems management to achieve unmatched safety and eliminate opportunities for human error. We want to make flying as ubiquitous as the road and as safe as the elevator.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide critical design, develop, and prototype for one of the most advanced flight control systems in the world. Working alongside some of the industries most talented professionals you will contribute to changing the way the world moves. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the design and validation of electrical systems for SkyOS.
  • Implement hardware designs and verify compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254).
  • Conduct lab-based testing and assist in troubleshooting issues with flight-critical electronics and associated equipment.
  • Help design and refine test fixtures to streamline validation processes and improve overall testing efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans and procedures, to support regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers and stakeholders to refine system requirements and ensure project objectives are met.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years aerospace-related engineering experience.
  • Experience with Digital, Analog and power electronics product design with focus on Digital electronics.
  • Schematic Capture and PCB layout experience with Altium Designer or similar.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with power supplies, definition and design, with a focus on reliability and ruggedness a plus.
  • Experience with multi-bus connectivity and interfacing including backplanes, ARINC 429, RS422, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
  • Knowledge of product design lifecycle, including interfacing with contract manufacturers, dealing with component obsolescence, etc.
  • Experience with documentation control systems, either manual (excel) or PLM, ERP, etc.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
