Black Hawk (UH-60) Maintenance Lead

BLACK HAWK (UH-60) MAINTENANCE LEAD - HAWTHORNE, CA
We’re seeking an experienced UH-60 crew chief or experienced maintainer to lead the integration and testing of advanced fly-by-wire systems on Black Hawk aircraft. This role combines hands-on maintenance, hangar management, and close collaboration with engineering and flight test teams in a fast-paced R&D environment. This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of Hawthorne, CA and will require the ability to travel to our Camarillo, CA facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with installation and troubleshooting of flight control components and wiring.
- Ensure all aircraft documentation, maintenance records, and logbooks are accurately maintained and compliant with FAA and internal standards.
- Act as primary point of contact regarding all Black Hawk (UH-60) operations.
- Manage daily hangar operations, ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are organized and available.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide real-time feedback on system behavior and mechanical integration during development and testing.
- Train other A&Ps on Black Hawk maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- FAA A&P license
- Strong knowledge of UH-60 systems and maintenance procedures
- 4+ years of experience supporting aircraft operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on flight test or R&D environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as a UH-60 crew chief or maintainer in military or civilian operations
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and avionics integration
- Experience modifying aircraft or designing aircraft modifications
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and modification work instructions
- Experience managing hangar operations, tooling, and inventory systems
- Experience with developmental flight test
