Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Charging Lead to join our dynamic team. As our Charging Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping our strategic direction and being responsible for the implementation of our charging strategy. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter authority (SME) in all aspects of vehicle charging, be able to conduct quantitative and qualitative research, develop and manage partnerships, and lead cross-functional teams to implement and execute our strategy.

What you get to do:
The Charging Lead will be our single-threaded leader for all things related to our EV charging strategy. Responsibilities will include:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Understand the current state and market trends with respect to public charging including the vehicle and digital technical requirements to fully participate in public charging networks in the USA.
- Market Research: Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on the EV charging landscape. This includes understanding customer sentiments towards EV charging, monitoring the evolving landscape of EV infrastructure incentives, technology standards, and benchmarking potential partners.
- Strategy Development: Refine our charging strategy as the landscape evolves. This will require staying up to date with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Program Management: Spearhead the workstreams within our charging strategy, collaborating closely with the Brand, Marketing, Digital, Engineering, and Design teams. This will involve, for example, contributing to developing our website and mobile app to alleviate customers’ range and charge anxiety, and ensuring our vehicle requirements suffice
- Relationship Management: Manage EV charging partnerships, from initial outreach through onboarding and partnership implementation.
- External Influence: Act as the voice of the company and our customers in influencing charging policy in the US. This will involve monitoring policy developments, joining and participating in relevant organizations, and advocating for our customers.
- Leadership Report-outs: Creating and presenting reports for C-suite and Board reviews.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, math, economics, or another analytical field.
- 10+ years of experience in the EV charging space, with a preference for direct experience in OEM related programs.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience building and managing external relationships.
- An ability to thrive in an ambiguous, entrepreneurial environment and adept at working from a clean sheet without legacy constraints or pre-defined processes.
- An ability to lead fast-paced projects from inception to deployment, providing structure and achievement monitoring for all stakeholders (who are likely to be from different cultures and in different time zones).
