Who we are looking for: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Conveyance and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design of conveyance related projects. This position will require production of design calculations, technical reports, and preparation of construction documents.
What you get to do:
- Safety above all to protect our team members, partners and customers
- Design, develop, simulation, installation and prove out of conveyance and automation systems processes
- PLC Programming and Control systems for Conveyor and Automation systems
- Development of technical specifications for assembly process (trim, chassis and final line automotive assembly)
- Preparation of related design reports with supporting mapping and calculations to document the design process and obtain agency approvals.
- Perform construction phase tasks including administration, construction observation, and supporting engineering activities.
- Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
- Resolve questions, plan coordinate and complete work in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers, maintenance and manufacturing
- Adhere to NEC, ANSI, and OSHA standards
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject area. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience designing and creating plans and specifications for automated automotive manufacturing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical team members.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality in mechanical system and conveyor design.
- PLC Programming and Controls experience required
- NEC, ANSI and OSHA Training or Certifcations
