Who we are looking for:
The Process Engineer for the body line is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to the body assembly of vehicles. This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.
What you get to do:
- Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop and implement systems and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the body assembly process
- Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes to enhance production rates and quality.
- Conduct process simulations and risk assessments to identify potential improvements.
- Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for the body assembly process.
- Monitor and analyze process performance to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve product reliability.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and training to staff and junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the body assembly process.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop safety procedures for individuals working with equipment and materials in the body line.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document all created processes and update these documents as changes occur.
- Prepare and present regular reports on process performance and improvements to senior management.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in process engineering or related areas are a plus
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry, particularly in body assembly, is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
