Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Problem-Solving Expert who is a certified Six Sigma Master Blackbelt to join our growing team. This position will be hands-on requiring dynamic leadership to achieve high Quality in design and manufacturing resulting in Robust Products for our valued Customers. You will work on problem prevention (Identify risk and develop robust solutions) and reactive problem-solving to lead teams (Engineering, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Warranty Teams, etc....) to root cause and develop effective, innovative solutions.
You bring extensive technical expertise in methods and execution.
What you get to do:
- Develop training material, teach and Coach Six Sigma, problem-solving and core Quality tools including: DMAIC / IDDOV, DOE, Systems Behavior Testing (SBT), Regression, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 3L5W, Multi-Vari, etc...
- Build strong relationships and networks to influence decisions, drive effective outcomes and foster a culture of learning.
- Effectively use data to Pareto opportunities and drive problem solving projects.
- Develop and implement strategy and design to enhance product quality for our valued Customers.
- Support market analysis activities, quality studies and benchmarking activities as required.
- Support the definition of quality requirements, technical standards, quality maturity management and quality validation of functions and systems to ensure product quality.
- Support risk minimization activities through risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for special characteristics.
What you bring to the team:
You will feel comfortable operating in a start-up, flexible and fast paced environment with a collaborative approach to achieving goals! You’ll also bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Automotive, Systems, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace etc....).
- 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 3 years leading Six Sigma projects as an MBB in an OEM/ Tier 1.
- Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Master Blackbelt (DMAIC / IDDOV) and/or Shainin certification.
- Working knowledge of Lean Principles. Preferably Lean Manufacturing trained.
- Proficient in the use of commonly applied quality tools and processes in the automotive industry (e.g. IATF 169494, AIAG, VDA, APQP, PPAP). Certified Auditor preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of DVP&R’s, FMEA’s and Control Plans.
- The highest level of integrity and the ability to make data-driven decisions
