Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Commercial Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, practices, and controls, particularly in revenue recognition, sales transactions, and financial reporting. This role will involve preparing journal entries, and financial reporting, managing returns and reconciliation, and provide audit support. The Senior Accountant will also collaborate closely with IT and Digital to ensure seamless transaction flows and maintain effective internal controls.

Work closely with stakeholders to complete the accounting activities for our company on an ongoing basis.
- As an early member of the Commercial Accounting team, you will help build foundational processes that scale with our business and play a key role in shaping how we account for and manage our growing inventory and sales operations.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to merchandise inventory, accessory inventory, spare parts inventory, merchandise sales, accessory sales, spare part sales, sales tax, and credit card processing fees and related entries.
- Manage the accounting processes for customer returns, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
- Lead the transition from manual journal entries to automated accounting workflows within NetSuite for 3PL operations, enhancing financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the monthly close process
- Prepare monthly financial reports including product line profitability reporting.
- Participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Collaborate with business functions to develop and implement internal controls and processes.
- Design and verify transaction flows in collaboration with the IT department, ensuring that all 3PL providers can effectively manage API feeds.
- Work with the Financial Planning & Analysis organization on budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure your work is done leveraging strong internal controls and segregation of duties
What you bring to the team:
- You are a proactive accountant who enjoys building processes from the ground up. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, operations, and finance. You don’t just manage numbers—you help translate them into insights that drive business decisions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in preparing journal entries and financial statements.
- Experience with ERP systems and familiarity with 3PL integrations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- 5-8 years plus relevant experience
- B.S. in Accounting current CPA license preferred
