Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for a hungry, mission-driven Fleet Sales Lead to join our growing fleet team.
What you get to do:
As one of Slate’s first fleet sales leaders, you’ll be central to growing our business from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing pre-sales and sales with mid-market, enterprise, and government customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor to fleet managers, procurement leaders, and sustainability officers, guiding them through the transition to electric vehicles with Slate’s vehicle, accessories and related fleet solutions.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on mid-market and/or enterprise customers.
- Experience with fleet electrification, transportation, or energy industries is preferred.
- Experience with state and local government sales and associated contracting processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, gritty, self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic white space environment and able to work through roadblocks. You’re a hunter, not a farmer.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen and consultative sales approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
- Proficiency using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to travel (up to 50%).
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Los Angeles, CA Base Salary Range – $135,556 to $169,445
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Slate reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. In addition to base pay, Slate also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs – 401k match, annual bonus and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA / FSA.
