Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Integration Tester to join our growing team. An Integration Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that systems work seamlessly together and that application integrations execute as designed and developed. The Integration Tester will be responsible for developing and performing unit and system test cases, documenting and reporting on defects, and driving open defects to final resolution. The ideal candidate will bring experience with IT test methodology & best practices, integration designs & methods, and strong collaboration and analytical skills.
What You Get to Do:
- Designing and executing test plans: Developing and maintaining integration test plans and test cases.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and identify integration points.
- Conducting tests: Performing automated and manual testing to validate integration points between different systems.
- Troubleshooting integration issues: Identifying and resolving defects or inconsistencies in system interactions.
- Documenting test processes: Creating thorough documentation for test processes and reporting findings to the development team
- Continuously improve test procedures: Provide and implement ideas to continuously improve on Slate IT test processes and procedures
What You Bring to the Team:
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with various integration methodologies, system architecture, and application programming. Some technical knowledge of iPaaS platforms (i.e., Fuuz, Boomi, Celigo), APIs, JSON, JSonata, XML, batch file processing, integration orchestration & choreography, EDI. Working knowledge of C++ or Java is helpful but not required.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and provide rapid solutions.
- Communication skills: Effective communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Documentation skills: Ability to create thorough documentation for integration processes
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in integration development or testing.
