| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
SLATE is looking for an energetic, organized Body Systems Design intern to join our growing team for Fall 2025 (September to December). The Body Systems intern will be responsible for supporting the development of the body in white and related structures across the organization.
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Be an integral part of an energetic team that’s challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
- Responsible for the design and development of body system components and complete assemblies.
- Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
- Manage all aspects of body component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
- Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Active enrollment in Bachelor program for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or better
- Ability to be onsite/in person 3 days per week in Troy, MI
- Excellent communication and team building skills.
- Ability to contribute to design teams through integration of related sub-systems into body structure.
- Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast-paced environment
