| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Lead of Next Generation Battery Solutions & Propulsion Testing is responsible for advancing innovative automotive battery solutions while building and scaling in-house propulsion testing and validation capabilities. This role bridges product innovation with practical execution, ensuring the organization delivers cutting-edge, validated technologies for future propulsion systems.
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Lead development of next-generation battery technologies, architectures, and integration strategies.
- Build and manage a team of design release engineers to meet program needs.
- Define and support requirements for next-generation batteries and battery management systems.
- Oversee design release for batteries and integrated components, from concept to production, ensuring alignment with vehicle architecture.
- Support project management by driving schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Act as a key interface for internal and external stakeholders on future battery solutions and validation capabilities.
- Lead testing and validation phases, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with technical, functional, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and expand internal propulsion testing and validation infrastructure, including facilities, tools, and processes.
- Identify, assess, and mature breakthrough technologies in energy storage and propulsion systems.
- Collaborate with program management, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver validated solutions on time and within budget.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across energy storage and propulsion testing teams.
- Ensure testing methodologies align with DVPs, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in battery systems engineering from development through validation and product launch.
- Strong background in test facility development, validation planning, and system-level testing.
- Familiarity with battery cell, module, and pack design, including next-generation chemistry and architecture.
- Proven leadership in building teams and advancing technology from concept to validation.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
