| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Slate Electrical engineering group is looking for a passionate and dynamic systems engineer with hands on experience designing features and its decomposed system requirements for high voltage automotive components. This individual will closely work cross functionally within the engineering organization and help bridge the gap between powertrain and electrical engineering teams. In this position the candidate will author, design and develop system requirements with heavy emphasis on diagnostics for the high voltage components such as battery management system, electric drive motors and DC DC converter / on board chargers.
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Support and/or lead electrical system design for HV components including architecture, wiring and diagnostics.
- Support system integration efforts of HV components and its communication to other nodes.
- Define and author diagnostics procedures and content to safely diagnose and repair HV Components
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop system requirements for features and functions assigned to HV components
- Troubleshoot system feature failures using engineering tools on HV Components and collaborate with validation team.
- Perform root cause analysis using CAN instruments and measuring
- Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop and validate hardware and software on the HV systems in collaboration with suppliers and internal departments
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in High Voltage components.
- 5 years of experience in systems development
- 3 years of experience in fault management, fault mitigation strategies, and maintaining diagnostic content.
- 3 years of experience with CAN FD protocol, ISO 14229 and ISO 26262.
Preferred
- Master of science degree in engineering in Electrical and/or Computer engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science.
- Experience using Vector CANDELA studio for diagnostic content authoring CDD and/or ODX.
- Experience using/working with cloud solutions for compute, storage, authentication, messaging services, etc.
- Experience in usage of commercially available vehicle serial communication tools such as ETAS-INCA, CANape or CANoe/CANalyzer.
- Extensive experience in requirements, change and configuration management tools such as Polarian, JIRA, Bitbucket, IBM-RTC etc
