About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and strategic Content Updates Manager to lead the continuous improvement of our top-performing commercial and health-related content on SleepFoundation.org. This role is central to maintaining the quality and performance of content that drives revenue, supports affiliate and sleep care partnerships, and builds trust with our audiences.

As Content Updates Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing content updates that respond to shifts in competitive positioning, changes in products and partnerships, UX and CRO test learnings, new research or survey data, and editorial best practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across content, SEO, product testing, design, and conversion optimization to ensure our most valuable content is always relevant, high-performing, and aligned with user intent and business goals.

This position reports to Sleep Doctor’s VP of Content and can be based out of our Seattle office or remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the strategy, prioritization, and execution of material updates to Sleep Foundation’s highest-performing commercial and health content

  • Ensure commercial pages stay competitive and optimized by monitoring traffic and rankings changes, market trends, a competitive set, testing outcomes, product changes, and partner updates

  • Collaborate with CRO and UX teams to implement learnings from A/B tests, design experiments, and funnel analyses into content structure and messaging

  • Incorporate feedback and data from product testing, consumer surveys, and business stakeholders to improve content accuracy and relevance

  • Update health content to reflect new research findings, expert guidance, and emerging sleep science; ensure tone and UX remain empathetic, accessible, and actionable

  • Work cross-functionally with SEO, content, and business development to align content updates with broader business strategy

  • Create detailed content briefs and clear documentation of workflows, content decisions, and processes for writers, editors, and content managers

  • Manage a living calendar of content updates across commercial and health content, driven by seasonality, product launch timelines, and testing priorities

  • Track performance of updated content through key metrics and report on impact of changes

 

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in digital content management or editorial production, ideally in a performance marketing or D2C environment

  • Experience maintaining and optimizing evergreen commercial content, including ranking and review pages

  • Familiarity with CRO, A/B testing, UX best practices, and how design and content work together to improve conversion

  • Strong SEO knowledge and fluency in tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, or Ahrefs

  • Editorial sensibility with the ability to interpret complex research, survey results, and health data into engaging, user-centered content

  • Strong communication and project management skills, with experience working cross-functionally across product, SEO, design, and editorial

  • Comfort working in CMS platforms (WordPress preferred) and managing content production from ideation to publication

  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a passion for using content to solve real-world sleep and wellness challenges

Compensation Range

$90,000 to $100,000. Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate’s specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company.

This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual bonus plan. The target bonus opportunity is 15% of the base salary. 

The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance with 100% of the employee  medical, vision,   and   dental   premiums  covered   by   the   Company.  There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary.  You will be eligible for Paid Time Off in accordance with the company’s policies. Our Seattle-based employees will receive commuter benefits.
