
Total Rewards Manager

Due to the phenomenal growth that Slide has experienced combined with our hyper-focus on creating the best Slider experience ever, we are looking to fill a brand-new position that will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our award-winning Benefits and Compensation programs (yes, we just received a Culture Award for this!). The Total Rewards Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all Sliders are taking advantage of the many and diverse benefits we currently offer and will be a key player in shaping the benefits and compensation strategy in the future. Sounds like fun, right?!
Here’s some of the ways that you’ll make an impact in this role:
Benefits Management:
- Be the go-to person for all things Total Rewards — telling everyone about the benefits of our benefits, answering questions, solving issues, and providing an unbelievably positive Slider experience.
- Oversee benefits enrollment and education, including open enrollment and new hire orientations.
- Review and reconcile benefit invoices with precision, working closely with carriers and Finance to keep everything running smoothly.
- Manage and track leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Oversee the company’s 401(k) program including employee enrollment, reporting, compliance and supplying information for the completion of timely 5500 reports each year.
Compensation Management:
- Design and lead competitive compensation strategies that attract and retain the best.
- Champion pay equity by analyzing compensation, advocating for adjustments where needed, and driving a culture rooted in fairness, transparency, and respect.
- Research market trends to ensure our pay structures stay competitive and aligned with internal equity.
- Manage the systems and operational aspects of key processes, such as the annual pay review cycle and benefits initiatives.
- Manage job descriptions and ensure alignment with compensation structures and career paths that you develop.
Compliance, Data, & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding benefits and compensation practices.
- Continuously stay ahead of the curve on compliance requirements and regulatory changes, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and more.
- Ensure data integrity in our total rewards systems, helping us make informed, accurate decisions at every step.
- Oversee reporting and analysis of benefits and compensation metrics, ensuring accurate data collection and delivering key insights to leadership.
Being a Team Player and Continuously Learning:
- Be the back-up for payroll processing, and all things related.
- Pitch in where needed, taking on related projects and responsibilities that help elevate the employee experience.
- Remain current on trends and best practices in benefits, compensation, and employee well-being to ensure we are always competitive in attracting and retaining Top Talent.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or a High School diploma with equivalent hands-on experience).
- 5+ years of Total Rewards management experience, including expertise in insurance benefits, retirement programs, wellness initiatives, compensation, and job design/career pathing.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience managing self-funded insurance benefits programs and associated contracts.
- Strong familiarity with HRIS, benefits administration, and compensation management platforms (experience with ADP Workforce Now and HiBob is a big plus!).
- Some experience with payroll administration.
- Bonus points if you have industry certifications or professional designations that showcase your expertise in Total Rewards!
Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of how the Total Rewards function fits in with the People strategy, employee value proposition, and the company mission.
- Thorough knowledge of benefits administration and leave requirements, including all applicable laws.
- Expertise in compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, and job evaluation.
- Deep respect for the confidentiality required to successfully own the total rewards function.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to learn new software programs, create and manipulate reports, and database maintenance.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Super analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
